Parents only. Your kids never sign in anywhere — their Chromebooks are connected once with a code.

School staff sign in at dashboard.html (administrators) or teacher.html (teachers). We've signed you out of this page so the two don't get tangled.

Welcome! One question.

What should we call your family? This is just a label — we never ask for your kids' names.

Hello 👋

Family

Family Plus gives each child their own rules — their own bedtime and homework hours, their own allowed sites — instead of one set shared by everyone, and raises the limit from 3 Chromebooks to 10.

Connect a Chromebook

On your child's Chromebook, signed in as them:

  1. Go to computerhallpass.com/install.html and click Add to Chrome.
  2. Click the Computer Hall Pass icon in the toolbar.
  3. Type this family code and give the Chromebook a name (like “Kitchen laptop”):

…

The code carries no personal information. From that moment the Chromebook only opens websites you've allowed below.

Websites your kids can use

Everything else is blocked. Timer opens a site for a while; Pause turns one off without losing it.

Hours

Outside these hours every website is blocked on this Chromebook — even the ones you've allowed. Leave it off and there's no time limit at all.

Always blocked

Sites on this list can never be allowed or given a timer — not even by you, until you take them off it.

An honest note: on a family Chromebook a determined kid can remove the extension. You'll see it here — the Chromebook shows “not reporting” within about 15 minutes — and that's a conversation, which is the point. School-managed devices lock it on permanently; that's our school plan.
